Leather Palm Aramid Gloves S1097S
Product Name: SIZA Safety S1097S Leather Palm Aramid Gloves
Product Category: Heat Resistant Gloves
Brand: SIZA Safety/Customized
Product Description: Leather Palm 10G Aramid Light Heat Protection Gloves
Aramid-Stitched Cowhide Leather Gloves are the workhorse of heavy industry, prized for their unmatched durability, superior grip, and heat/spark resistance. The use of aramid eliminates the most common point of failure, making them exceptionally reliable for the toughest handling jobs in construction, welding, and rigging. Their performance and longevity are highly dependent on proper care and use in dry conditions. They are a primary choice for mechanical and thermal hazards.
More Feactures:
Superior Durability and Abrasion Resistance: Cowhide leather palm and high-wear areas, stitched with high-strength aramid. Top-grain cowhide leather provides exceptional resistance to abrasion, cuts, and tears from rough materials like wood, metal, and concrete. Aramid is vastly stronger and more heat-resistant than standard polyester or nylon thread.
Excellent Grip and Dexterity: Natural leather palm and finger construction. Leather molds to the user's hand over time, providing a custom, secure fit and a superior grip on dry surfaces, tools, and irregular objects. It offers better tactile feedback than many coated gloves.
Heat and Spark Resistance: Aramid stitching and leather material. Both cowhide leather and aramid are inherently resistant to heat, sparks, and embers. They will not melt or drip when exposed to high temperatures.
Usage Scenarios / Applications:
Primary Applications
Welding and Metal Fabrication (for handling hot metal, support work).
Construction and Carpentry (handling lumber, rebar, tools).
Rigging and Heavy Lifting.
Automotive and Shipyard Work.
General Heavy-Duty Industrial Maintenance.
Important Precautions / Warnings
NOT Liquidproof or for Wet Conditions: Leather is porous. When soaked, it loses its insulating properties, becomes slippery, can shrink upon drying, and is prone to rot. It also transfers heat quickly when wet, risking steam burns.
Limited Cut Protection: While durable, standard leather offers limited protection against sharp, slicing hazards. This is a wear and abrasion glove, not a certified cut-resistant glove.
Inspect Seams and Leather: Before each use, check the aramid stitching for breaks and the leather for holes, excessive thinning, or stiffness. Hard, cracked leather has lost its protective qualities.
Not for Chemical Exposure: Leather can be degraded by many oils, solvents, and acids. Use chemically resistant gloves for those tasks.
